108 Salutations = 108 Flows of 12 poses/flow

How It Works

One Salutation = One Flow: Each salutation is a single sequence of poses (e.g. the 12 poses of Classic Sun Salutations). Completing 108 salutations or flows is the traditional practice for this Solstice event.

Clarifying: Many traditions pair right- and left-leg flows into a ‘set,’ meaning 54 sets equal 108 salutations or flows (54 right + 54 left).

“Fun Run” Level to 108: practice a series of 108 poses, 9 flows of 12 poses/Salutation = 108 poses

Flexibility: We welcome all levels–practice 108 salutations, 54, 9, or any number that feels right to you. The goal is connection, not perfection. (Consult your healthcare provider, as needed.)

  • Volunteer (Apply to Volunteer)
    • Core Team: event coordinator (oversees vision and logistics), tech lead (manages livestreams, platform setup, and troubleshooting), marketing lead (handles promotion and community engagement), speaker/vendor coordinator (recruits and manages speakers and vendors), regional ambassadors (volunteers in key time zones to organize local livestreams)
    • Supporting Team of volunteers to assist with tech support, social media, and participant outreach
  • Donate money, time, word-of-mouth marketing, and/or to our online auction to raise awareness

  • Yoga teachers: teachers are needed. (Apply to Teach) This is collaborative with teacher-led and studio-led events… open to collaboration
